My Client is urgently seeking a Drilling Engineer to provide comprehensive drilling support to the drilling operations complying with the Company’s policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Drilling Engineering with 7 years experience in drilling engineering and supervision, with at least 2 years field base exposure
- Must have current Well Control Certificate (BOP)
- Familiarity with casing design, directional drilling design, hydraulics, torque and drag verifications, drilling optimisation techniques
- Good knowledge of PC based technical software and with basic office software suites, with the scope of producing programs, reports and organize or analyse well data
- Familiar with methods and procedures relevant to the procurement of goods and services applicable to the well construction activities
Responsibilities
- Responsible for constructing drilling prognosis for Exploration and Development wells, including the design of casing and tubing programs as required
- Support the day to day operations, ensuring lesions learnt are systematically captured, recorded and incorporated into future programs in order to continuously improve the performance and safety of operations
- Liaise with management on all aspects of construction activities, in particular for those aspects related to information or data acquisition and validation. Monitor progress of time and costs, timely report to the line responsible position on deviations from plan
- Study course of operations to identify strong and weak points. Propose or recommend measures aimed at improving the drilling performance. Provide engineering assistance at the rig site
This is a permanent position based in Queensland, Australia. This position will spend up to 50% of the time at the overseas drill site with the Company Representative to carry out the drilling prognosis. Attractive package on offer. Please state your availability on your application.
